Hokehankisd - Page 56 of the Divine Liturgy Book - Requiem Service will be offered this morning for Hrant Dink - Editor-In-Chief of the Bilingual Turkish Armenian Newspaper, Agos. He was assassinated on January 19, 2007.

Prayer Requests - For those who request Hokehankisd (Requiem Service) or to enter a loved one's name on the prayer list, please call the church by Thursday of that week for printing in the Sunday bulletin. Requiem Service may take place during the entire year (including Lent) except for the 5 Tabernacle Feast Days.

Confession and Communion - For those who wish to receive Holy Communion are asked to remain in their pews and together read the "Confession and Absolution" on Page 48 of the Divine Liturgy Book. When taking Communion, make the sign of the cross and say: I have sinned against God - Megha Asdoozo. Ladies must have a head covering when approaching the Holy altar.
Care, Maintenance and Cost of the â€śLight of St. Gregoryâ€ť - Our thanks to Her Loving Husband Philip, Daughters Sharon & Vatche Khachadourian, Marianne & Jim Schneeberger, and loving grandchildren, Jereme, Luc, Dana, Ani, Ara & Lena for taking the responsibility of the cost of Keeping "The Light of St. Gregory" illuminated for the month of January in memory of Mary Battle. Blanket Drive - Thank you St. Gregory family for collecting 82 blankets for the Chicagoland homeless and needy. Warm Wishes is an organization which has been distributing blankets and sleeping bags to the homeless since 1995. In a very short time, we were able to collect so many blankets which will make an impact on those less fortunate than us. Thank you.

Home Blessing "Doon-orhnek" - Every Armenian family is encouraged to have their home blessed. In the Armenian Church, it is customary to have the pastor make home visitations during the 40 days after Christmas and Easter. If you wish to have your home blessed during Eastertide or at a late date, please call Fr. Aren to make arrangements.
5th Annual Armenian Winter Fest - Come join your St. Gregory Family on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 from 5:00-10:00pm. For grilled Shish Kebob or Chicken Kebob, Lentil Soup and Homemade Pastries. Raffle Tickets will be available, the cost per ticket is $100.00 only 100 tickets will be sold.
When the Need Arises â€“ Get in Touch With the Church Office - Before making any preparations, in choosing date and time for Weddings and Baptisms, please be sure to contact our pastor, Fr. Aren Jebejian. All Sacraments must be arranged at least three months ahead. Other church related matters, such as hospital and home visitations and counseling, should also be made first with Fr. Aren. In order to invite clergy from other churches, arrangements must be made through the church office.
Fr. Aren will be in the church office on Monday from 2:00 - 5:00pm. and Wednesday from 10:00 - 2:00. Fr. Aren can be reached on his cell at 773-457-4122.
