Confession and Communion - For those who wish to receive Holy Communion are asked to remain in their pews and together read the "Confession and Absolution" on Page 48 of the Divine Liturgy Book. Parish Retreat - On March 8th, St. Gregory will be having a Parish-Wide retreat on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary. This is the first of a number of 50th Anniversary events which will take place to help us celebrate 50 years here at Diversey. The Theme of the retreat is "How to Build a Church", which will be focusing on what it takes to build and maintain a church. This is for everyone? Young and Old alike. Please RSVP by March 6th so that we will have enough food for lunch. There is no charge for participating, a free will offering will be requested. Lent is a time for self-reflection, what better way than to participate with fellow parishioners during this 50th anniversary.
Home Blessing "Doon-orhnek" - Every Armenian family is encouraged to have their home blessed. In the Armenian Church, it is customary to have the pastor make home visitations during the 40 days after Christmas and Easter. If you wish to have your home blessed during Eastertide or at a late date, please call Fr. Aren to make arrangements.
On Monday Fr. Aren will be in the church office from 2:00 - 5:00pm. and on Wednesday Fr. Aren will be at the Diocesan Council meeting and can be reached on his cell phone at 773-457-4122.
