Please be advised that according to the tradition of the Armenian Church, members of the congregation are strongly reminded to refrain from walking in and out of the Sanctuary while services are in progress. You are especially reminded not to do so during Reading of Lections until the Creed is recited, The Chalice Procession,The Hymn “Der Voghormia,” Singing of Hayr Mer – Lord’s Prayer, During Confession and Communion and During the Sermon. Prayer Requests - For those who request Hokehankisd (Requiem Service) or to enter a loved one's name on the prayer list, please call the church by Thursday of that week for printing in the Sunday bulletin. Requiem Service may take place during the entire year (including Lent) except for the 5 Tabernacle Feast Days.

Nicene Creed: Together, we shall recite the Nicene Creed (The Profession of Our Faith) on Pages 18-19 of the Divine Liturgy Book found in the pews.

Confession and Communion - For those who wish to receive Holy Communion are asked to remain in their pews and together read the "Confession and Absolution" on Page 48 of the Divine Liturgy Book.  When taking communion, make the sign of the cross and say:  I have sinned against God - Megha Asdoozo.  Ladies must have a head covering when approaching the Holy altar.

Care, Maintenance and Cost of the “Light of St. Gregory” - Our thanks to the Hitik Family for taking the responsibility of the cost of Keeping "The Light of St. Gregory" illuminated for the month of January.    

Armenian Genocide Kickoff 2015 - Please join us as we begin a year of remembering the "Legacy of Our Martyrs".  On Saturday, January 24th from 4:00pm - 1:00am.  We will gather as a community to get ourselves ready for the coming year through prayer and education.  Families can request to have one of the hours, be dedicated to their family name. At the beginning of each hour Fr. Aren will be offering prayers for the deceased loved ones, the present generation and the future generations of the family for whom the hour is dedicated. With each family dedication hour, a candle will be lit at the beginning of the hour.  These candles may be taken home along with "forget me not" seeds.  The suggested donation for a Family Dedication is $100.00 an hour.  Contact Fr. Aren with your prayer request at 773-637-1711.  

6th Annual Armenian Winter Fest - Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 4:00 pm. - 10:00 pm.  Grilled Shish & Chicken Kebab, Homemade Pastries and 100 Raffle Tickets sold at 100.00 each.   Free Admission and Free Parking.

ON SALE NOW - To Purchase your 50th Anniversary Cookbook call the church office at 773-637-1711 or pick one up during Felowship hour.  The cost per book is $25.00. They are one great stocking stuffer.  

Home Blessing - Dnorhnek - Every Armenian family is encouraged to have their home blessed.  In the Armenian Church, it is customary to have the pastor make home visitations during the 40 days after Christmas.  If you wish to have your home blessed during Christmastide or at a later date, please call Fr. Aren to make arrangements. 

When the Need Arises - Get in Touch With the Church OfficeBefore making any preparations, in choosing date and time for Weddings and Baptisms, please be sure to contact Fr. Aren Jebejian. All Sacraments must be arranged at least three months ahead.  Other church related matters, such as hospital and home visitations and counseling, should be made first with Fr. Aren.  In order to invite clergy from other churches, arrangements must be made through the church office.   

On Monday Fr. Aren will be in the church office from 2:00-5:00pm and on Wednesday frm 10:00 - 3:00pm.
