Requiem Service (Hokehankisd) Page 56 of the Divine Liturgy Book. Requiem Service will be held today for the repose of the soul of Dr. Hrach Hitik (40th day) requested by the Hitik Family.

Prayers for the Sick

Light of St. Gregory
Thank you to Mary Dadian for taking the responsibility of the cost of Keeping "The Light of St. Gregory" illuminated for the month of August in memory of John "Garo" Dadian and to Leona Mirza and Ann Lousin for taking the responsibility of the cost of Leeping "The Light of St. Gregory" illuminated at the stained glass window illuminated for the month of August.
St. Gregory's 90th Anniversary
We will celebrate St. Gregory's Anniversary with a luncheon on Sunday, October 16th, following Church Services. This year marks the 90th year of the establishment of St. Gregory Armenian Church in Chicago. Plesae see a parish Council member to volunteer to help.
Participation and Etiquette
Parishioners are encouraged to recite the Nicene Creed together on pages 18-19 of the Divine Liturgy Book, as well as the Confession on page 48 in preparation for receiving Holy Communion.
Please refrain from entering the sanctuary during the: Lections, Nicene Creed, Chalice Procession, singing of the Hayr Mer (Lord’s Prayer), Der Voghormya (Lord have mercy), reading of Confession, Holy Communion and sermon. Once you have entered the sanctuary, kindly remain until the conclusion of the service. When approaching the priest to receive Holy Communion, make the sing of the cross and say, “Megha Asdoodzo” or “I have sinned against God.” Ladies must have a head covering when approaching the Holy Altar.
