Altar Flowers

The flowers adorning the altar today are presented to the glory of God by the St. Gregory Women's Guild in memory of all deceased Women's Guild Memebers.


Requiem Service

Requiem Service (Hokehankisd) Page 56 of the Divine Liturgy Book.  Requiem Prayers will be offered today for the repose of the souls of all deceased Women's Guild Members of St. Gregory Armenian Church 


Fellowship Hour

Following church services, you are invited to fellowship hour hosted by the Women's Guild in memory of the deceased members of the St. Gregory Women's Guild.  Today's basket will be designated

for breast cancer awareness for the wellness center in Armenia.  


 Prayers for the Sick 

During the singing of “Der Voghormya”, page 45 of the Divine Liturgy Book, we pray for peace and for the sick. Let us remember in particular the parishioners who are ill at home, hospital or nursing home:

 Light of St. Gregory

Thank you to the Koresian Family for taking the responsibility of the cost of Keeping the Light of St. Gregory" illuminated at the Stained Glass Window for the month of December in memory of Violet Koresian.  Thank you to the Babikian Family for taking the responsiblity of the cost of Keeping the Light of St. Gregory "illuminated for the month of December.  


Annual Potluck Christmas Luncheon and Tree Trimming

Sunday, December 11th we will be having our annual potluck luncheon and tree trimming along with Christmas caroling if you would like to bring something for our table, please contact Nancy Beidleman 312-504-6129 or Cynthia Panthier 847-312-2535.


 Participation and Etiquette

Parishioners are encouraged to recite the Nicene Creed together on pages 18-19 of the Divine Liturgy Book, as well as the Confession on page 48 in preparation for receiving Holy Communion. 

Please refrain from entering the sanctuary during the: Lections, Nicene Creed, Chalice Procession, singing of the Hayr Mer (Lord’s Prayer), Der Voghormya (Lord have mercy), reading of Confession, Holy Communion and sermon. Once you have entered the sanctuary, kindly remain until the conclusion of the service. When approaching the priest to receive Holy Communion, make the sing of the cross and say, “Megha Asdoodzo” or “I have sinned against God.” Ladies must have a head covering when approaching the Holy Altar.
