“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wise; teach a righteous man and he will increase in learning.”Proverbs 9:9 RSV
There are many parts of a Christian’s life that are not often clear. If you have never come to an Orthodox Church, it may feel overwhelming and sometimes even burdensome. The rules, the history, the theology, etc. should always be seen as ultimately a guide to bring us to Christ Jesus.
Therefore, in order to know how to understand all these “guides” we need to be taught. Through Bible Studies, discussions, FAQ’s, Videos, Daily Prayers and many other resources we learn how to grow in Communion with God.
Apart from studying an asking questions, we also learn by doing. The Orthodox Church is a sacramental liturgical Church, meaning we believe in the Holy and Mysterious work done through the people (liturgy comes from the Greek liturgia which translates to the work of the people”). Therefore, we invite you to also listen and learn some of the most common services and hymns found in the worship of the Armenian Church. And if you ever have questions, reach out to the pastor, who will always be willing to teach more!
